This 3-night trip in Flagstaff, Arizona is a beginner level trip that can accommodate 16 people.

Accommodation:

There is one large lodge/home reserved for this trip with 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a different configuration of beds - you may register for your preferred sleeping arrangement via our booking platform.

The lodging reserved for this trip is located in Flagstaff, Arizona - about a 2.5 hour drive from Phoenix. Participants should be prepared for some driving/commuting over the course of the weekend to reach the hikes and activities planned in the itinerary.

Trip Activities + Difficulty Level:

This is a Beginner level trip - the hikes planned are slightly challenging, but can be done by participants with limited hiking experience.

Itinerary highlights include:

  • Full Day of hiking and exploring Red Rocks in Sedona

  • Full Day in the Grand Canyon, scenic drive along the rim of the canyon

  • Exploring Grand Canyon village and small towns of Flagstaff and Sedona

Note: our itinerary may be subject to slight changes throughout the weekend due to delays, weather, or factors outside of our control.

Note: All Ma'wa Collective trips are considered group trips - as a participant, you will be expected to remain with your group at all times. Participants are not permitted to leave the group and engage in activities outside the published itinerary. Any participant found in violation of this may be subject to dismissal from the trip and/or future Ma'wa Collective trips.

Fadwa Bouhedda

Trip Lead

Based out of the Bay Area, Fadwa brings her passion for the oceans, mountains and environment to life through recreation. She is an avid hiker, scuba diver, and a coffee connoisseur and when not outdoors can be found watching a good Attenborough documentary. Fadwa's always positive attitude and her enthusiasm for nature, helps make any trip with her in the outdoors an enjoyable one.

What's Included

Trip registration includes lodging, food, and coordinated activities throughout the weekend.

Transportation is NOT included in your registration or covered by Ma'wa Collective:

  • It is the responsibility of participants to do their due diligence to check on travel logistics before signing up for the trip. This includes checking flight availability and pricing if you are not local to the area. If you will be flying in for this trip, we recommend flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Arrival must be no later than 2pm on Friday, February 21st, and departure no earlier than 2pm on Monday, February 24th


  • Carpools: While we can assist with arranging carpools among participants, we cannot guarantee that every Trip will have local participants that are able to volunteer their personal cars and offer a carpool. In some cases, a rental car may be the only option for carpooling. Some participants will need to volunteer as drivers for the rentals and the cost of the rental car is not covered by Ma’wa Collective.
